Using an example, look at the galley kitchen image at right. Once an uninspired space that seemed limiting to its purpose, it has been revitalized by giving a clear intention of nurturing, warmth and function. In it hangs a favorite apron directly across from the stove. The entire top-half of the wall which once seemed to close in on you while cooking is covered in chalkboard paint; there are little love hearts drawn by friends passing through. It is an efficient, well-used and loved space by all members of this home.
Your home, your car and your office can tell you a lot about you. Your energy and the people you live with make your space unlike any other. Your physical surrounding gives you clues to where things are out of alignment, or flowing effortlessly. Finding balance in your home isn’t always easy. If your physical surroundings don’t match what you desire, you might want to take an inventory and see what message your spaces are really sending.
